Temperature sensors work on the principle of defined dependence of the change in resistance of the sensor and the change in temperature. They are not capable of generating sparks, arcs or high surface temperatures. The temperature range for use in potentially explosive environments is limited by the insulation of the cable used and specifically specified in the operating instructions - the specified measuring range should not be exceeded, even for a short time. The power cable can have an outer insulation of PVC, silicone or PTFE (Teflon) and can be shielded or unshielded. In accordance with standard EN 60 529, the sensors meet IP 65 for the insulation of PTFE (Teflon) cables and IP 67 for other power cables.
- TR 141Ex temperature series- Temperature sensors can be used to measure the surface temperature of solids with a smooth surface. They consist of a cuboid-shaped metal measuring case, which contains a temperature sensing element and a power cable. The metal sensor housing can be made of DIN 1.4301 stainless steel or aluminum alloy (Duralumin). The housing contains a mounting hole for mounting the sensor on the surface to be measured. Sensor wiring can be 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire. The power cable can have external insulation in PVC, silicone or PTFE (Teflon) and is shielded or unshielded. In the case of shielded power cables, the shield is not connected to the housing or the temperature sensing element. The total length of the housing can be chosen in the range from 40 to 60 mm, depending on the design of the sensor housing and the type of power cable.
DECLARATION, CERTIFICATES, CALIBRATION The manufacturer issues a EU declaration of conformity. The declaration is established on the basis of the following certificates, issued by the Ostrava - Radvanice Institute for Physical and Technical Tests:
- Certificate number TR141Ex FTZÚ 16 ATEX 0145X
Calibration - All temperature sensors undergo the final metrological control, which is carried out by comparison with standards or working gauges. Continuity of standards and working standards is ensured within the meaning of article 5 of Law No. 505/1990 on metrology, as amended.
