Product features KPTS 410A ET KPTS 410B probe

The set of special temperature sensors KPTS 410A and KPTS 410B has been developed to measure the air temperature in gel battery cabinets of high-speed wagons in the application segment of rail vehicles. Due to the matched location of the battery cabinets, they are connected in series to the evaluation element, indicating the average temperature in the two cabinets. The serial connection of the KPTS 410A and KPTS 410B allows an internal configuration of the terminals of the KPTS 410B head so that there is no need for a specific interconnection element. The Free Wago 222 terminal block is part of the KPTS 410B temperature sensor to connect the shield of the input cable and the connection cable.

The sensors consist of the plastic head, where a printed circuit board is placed with a terminal block to connect the power cable or the series connection of the two sensors and with a stainless steel rod, in which the temperature sensing element. The sensors can be used for all control systems compatible with the types of detection elements listed in the technical parameters table. The sensor conforms to the degree of protection IP 65 according to standard EN 60529, as amended.

The sensors are intended to operate in a chemically non-aggressive environment.
