Product features TEMPERATURE SENSOR WITH ROD AND PLASTIC HEAD WITH RS 485 OUTPUT KSD 122

This KSD 122 temperature sensor with a plastic rod and head with RS 485 / MODBUS RTU digital output is designed for measuring the temperature of liquid or gaseous substances. In the application segment of rail vehicles, it is used, for example, to measure the temperature of the outside air under the vehicle floor. For this, the sensor is equipped with a rod with high mechanical resistance.

The sensors consist of a plastic head and a metal housing, where the sensitive element for temperature measurement (sensor) is placed. In the head there is a terminal block with a converter located, to which a power cable for the power supply of the sensor and the digital output signal depending on the type of sensor is connected via a grommet or a connector.

KSD 122, KSD 122K - MODBUS / RTU communication protocol, communication via RS485 bus

The temperature range of use of the sensors is defined in the table of technical parameters for the different versions of the sensors. The sensors meet the protection index IP 65 according to standard EN 60529, as amended.

The sensors are designed to operate in a chemically non-aggressive environment, the use should be chosen according to the temperature and chemical resistance of the sensor head.
