The KTG 6 / R and KTG 6E / R temperature sensors are designed for measuring the temperature of solid substances. In the application segment of rail vehicles, temperature sensors are used, for example, to measure the surface temperature of the baseboards of converters and coolers of performance elements of electric locomotives (drive units) where, due to lack space, the power cable is needed to guide at right angles to the base plate and in close proximity to the live performance elements.The sensor is attached to the surface of the measured parts with the M6 ​​thread, which is part of the sensor.

The temperature range of the KTG 6 / R and KTRG 6E / R temperature sensors is -40 ° C to 120 ° C, and these limits should not be exceeded even for a short time. The sensors can be used for all control systems compatible with the types of detection elements listed in the table of technical parameters. The sensor meets the protection index IP 67 according to standard EN 60529, as amended.

Temperature sensors are intended to operate in a chemically non-aggressive environment.
