Product features BRASS CONTACT TEMPERATURE SENSOR KTR 026D / R

The KTR0 26D / R temperature sensor is designed to measure the surface temperature of solid substances with a smooth surface. In the segment of rail vehicle applications, it is used, for example, to measure the temperature of water and transport sewage pipelines or of cooling system pipelines of diesel engines or diesel-electric locomotives and units. The sensor is part of the system ensuring that the pipes are not frozen.

The temperature range is -40 ° C to 120 ° C and these limits should not be exceeded even for a short time. The sensor consists of a brass block, one area of which has a special radius concave recess for surface contact with the pipeline being measured. The sensor can be used for all control systems compatible with the types of detection elements listed in the technical parameters table. The sensor conforms to the degree of protection IP 67 according to standard EN 60 529, as amended.

The sensor is attached to the pipeline using mounting tape with a screw lock and in the context of anti-freeze systems it must not be thermally insulated at all, unlike in other applications.

The sensor is designed to operate in a non-aggressive environment.
