The wireless duct temperature sensor uses an NTC type thermistor with a UL listed plenum cable to accurately measure temperatures in the ducts, while maintaining a sealed environment. Can be easily installed and mounted for long term use.

The sensors offer a range of standard sensors with a range of up to over 350m through walls (12 to 14 walls generally). The use of Frequency Spread Spectrum (FHSS) also allows the sensors to have better immunity to interference from other wireless devices.

The products use the new Encrypt-RF® Security system (256-bit Diffie Hellman key exchange and AES-128 CBC encryption for all sensor data messages). Security is therefore maintained at all communication points, gateway sensor, software gateway.
The built-in data storage allows the sensors to store data messages if communication with a wireless gateway is interrupted (power outage, Internet connection outage or out of range). Messages that cannot be delivered will be time stamped and stored in memory (up to the last 512 messages) until communication with the gateway is restored, in which case all messages will be transmitted.
Over-the-air updates allow products to be updated remotely if new patches or new features are available.
The standard version of this sensor is powered by two replaceable 1,5V AA size batteries (included with purchase). This sensor is also available with an AC power option. The in-line version of this sensor is equipped with a cylindrical power connector allowing it to be powered by a standard power supply of 3 to 3,8 V. The mains powered version also uses two standard 1,5 V AA batteries as backup for uninterrupted operation in the event of a power failure.
Power options must be selected at the time of purchase, as the internal sensor hardware must be modified to support the power requirements.
