The wireless thermocouple sensor is available with a hard-wired thermocouple or K-type connector to support various types and ranges of thermocouples. The wired thermocouple measures temperatures up to 400 ° C (752 ° F). The Type K connector with probe includes a needle that measures temperatures up to 400 ° C (752 ° F). The sensor is programmed to stay on standby for a user-defined interval of time, then wakes up, and converts the analog data for transmission to the gateway.
Main “Internet of Things” solutions for companies
The sensors offer a range of standard sensors with a range of up to over 350m through walls (12 to 14 walls generally). The use of frequency spread spectrum (FHSS) also allows the sensors to benefit from better immunity to interference from other wireless devices.
Superior power management provides the sensors with almost twice the battery life of standard wireless sensors.
Button cell sensors typically last over 3 years.
AA and industrial sensors generally last up to 12 years.
The products use the new Encrypt-RF® Security system (256-bit Diffie Hellman key exchange and AES-128 CBC encryption for all sensor data messages). Security is therefore maintained at all communication points, gateway sensor, software gateway.
The integrated data storage allows the sensors to store the data if the communication with a wireless gateway is interrupted (power outage, Internet connection outage or out of range). Messages that cannot be delivered will be time stamped and stored in memory (up to the last 512 messages) until communication with the gateway is restored, in which case all messages will be transmitted.
Over-the-air updates allow products to be updated remotely if new patches or new features are available.
Available with wired thermocouple or type K connector
Pigtail version supports standard type K thermocouples
Wired version measures temperatures up to 400 ° C (752 ° F)
* The actual range may vary depending on the environment. ** Battery life is determined by the frequency of sensor reporting and other variables.
